Experience and leadership in corporate growth, turn-arounds, finance, internal controls, public company regulatory environments, technical operations management, international market development, and mergers and acquisitions have gone into building the foundation of Pedlar Ventures, which was officially formed in mid 2006 by Brian Pedlar.

History of Success

Brian Pedlar has a very unique background - a growth oriented medical, software and technology business development executive with extensive financial and operational experience. Brian profitably ran a 300 person medical technology company as President, negotiated many major software revenue deals, developed, mentored and coached a strong technology leadership team, developed a number of new geographic and revenue markets. Brian has public company CFO and CEO experience, which includes cross-border acquisitions, mergers, NASDAQ and TSX experience, raising of private and public equity, valuations, and public reporting.

Following a number of years at Coopers & Lybrand (now PricewaterhouseCoopers), Brian Pedlar held various management and operational roles at Imax Corporation and Kraft Canada Inc. Brian joined Cedara Software Corp., a medical technology company publicly listed on the TSX and NASDAQ and became Chief Financial Officer and later President.

Brian helped drive a turnaround at Cedara which included an increase in market capitalization from $20 million to $450 million, annual organic revenue growth of 40%, and a successful merger with a US public company in 2005.

Brian Pedlar has held various executive management and board of director roles with public and private companies. Brian Pedlar holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Mount Allison University, a post-graduate Diploma in Accounting from Wilfrid Laurier University and is a Chartered Accountant.
